| | | Hi Guys
This mail out is absolutely laden with courses and things to keep you busy.
Plenty of auditions on the board.
Have a great week.
Lee Donehue ------------------------------------------------------
Note: If you are a member of a site and can't see the contact details for each audition, HOW DO YOU KNOW THEY ARE LEGIT, and not made up by a creative employee to make the site look busy!! Think about it - you should be able to send a direct email to the producer of a short film or student film. This is the norm for non paid work. So, if you are submitting your details to the general email address of "A SITE" you have subscribed to.....how can you be sure it is actually going anywhere!

www.rowenabalos.com The Toni Higginbotham Screen Acting Masterclass TONI HIGGINBOTHAM is a leading casting director in Australia.
With over twenty years experience ¡V the last ten owning her own agency ¡V Toni has a reputation for obtaining results by looking beyond the traditional means of casting. Through her time as Casting Director at the ABC, her work on A Country Practice and E Street, as well as the hundreds of TV commercials she has cast, Toni has developed strong relationships with the pool of high-profile Australian actors. She has helped launch the careers of international stars, casting actor CATE BLANCHETT in her first TV role and model MEGAN GALE in her first on-screen performance.
Moreover, Toni understands that finding the perfect cast is not a matter of flicking through a book. She scouts for real people that will give the product the edge it requires. ¡¥When I work with Toni, I know I¡¦m going to end up with a great cast.¡¦ Mat Humphrey, The Guild
Toni collaborates closely with directors and she ensures that her vision is aligned with that of the creative team. ¡¥The casting director is a collaborator. As a director, I don¡¦t want a casting director to bring in a bunch of people in the hope that I will find one who is interesting. That is a waste of my time and the actor¡¦s time. Toni and I discuss the roles in detail and she will bring in four or five really good people for each role. It¡¦s great when you take the results to the agency and nobody can decide who to lose!¡¦ David Gaddie, The Sweetshop
Toni is a specialist in TV commercial casting, as well as consulting on drama projects and presenting roles for the major networks. Hunting for talent for the thousands of different roles has resulted in Toni becoming an invaluable resource for directors and producers of the highest calibre.
The Toni Higginbotham Screen Acting Masterclass provides actors, models and extras with a career-focused intensive workshop for their commercial, film and television castings. Through practical exercises with one of the industry¡¦s most revered and experienced actors (see Teachers), students will learn skills and techniques central to successful auditioning. In an intimate setting, students will work closely with TONI HIGGINBOTHAM, one of Australia¡¦s principal casting directors, who will explain the casting process from her side of the camera, answer all your questions, and guide you through the dos and don¡¦ts in the audition room.
The workshop will maximize your career opportunities by helping you develop the fine art of performing onscreen. It will explain how the casting studio is set-up, camera angles and position, and how artists can exploit their own qualities in front of the lens.
The course teaches students how best to present themselves on camera, to directors, and casting agents, thereby making the most of the screen test experience.
The workshop will be a 1 day workshop. "h Practical Audition Experience & Procedures "h Preparation for a Screen Test "h How to Analyse a Scene "h Auditioning for Lead Roles "h Being Comfortable in Front of the Camera WHERE: Toni Higginbotham Casting Upper level / 57 Queen St, Woollahra

Oscar Wilde's compelling drama-comedy was first staged in 1892 and amazingly people don't seem to have changed - they'll still do whatever it takes in order to survive. In this exciting production, Wilde's words are transported to the high society of Sydney in the fifties, where obsession with other people's business and dramas is very much alive and well.
With his trademark wit Oscar Wilde reminds us that... "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."

Jane Rowland: Teacher, Movie Producer, NLP Master Practioner & Entrepreneur conducts this course and has done so for 10 years. Many of her past students are now working in Television, whether it be in Australia, China or the USA. Jane has an eye for your potential and a way of teaching that will bring out the best in each and everyone of her students.
Past students have this to say: "I completed Jane Rowland's Academy of Screen Performance TV Presenting Course in June of this year. I can honestly say doing the course was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Jane is extremely knowledgeable about the industry, very encouraging and a fantastic teacher. This course has given me the confidence to move forward and achieve my dreams". Juliet Love, Aug 2007 (currently developing her own Interior Design Show)
The TV Presenters course was the best decision I could have made to get into TV Presenting. The course gave me the skills so that I feel confident enough that I am equipped for any presenting job. The daily presenting to camera gave me the self awareness needed to understand how I am perceived from an audiences point of view. Looking back on the course I can see how significant my improvement was as the course progressed. While there is still room for improvement, my speech and mannerisms on camera developed to a point that my final piece was most impressive. Everyone I have shown it too is amazed and surprised by how good my final performance was. I strongly recommend doing the course to anyone interested or wanting to get a career in TV Presenting. Five stars!!!!! Tom Shanahan, January 2007 (currently presenting a Getaway type show in China)
