| | | Hi Guys
I have huge ground breaking news, so good in fact that it is too much to send in this email.
So it will come as a seperate email as it needs its own space!!!
I can give you some info that was leaked to me however and .......it involves the casting director from the hit series show "24" staring Keifer Sutherland coming out to Aus..... the secret secret info being that she is on the hunt for new talent.
After 8 seasons of the show, she is desperate for new faces. How is your American Accent?
Quick - get a copy of "Speaking American" from our bookstore and you can practice straight away. The book has a cd with it that you can listen too, or download to your MP3/Ipod so you can listen and practice in your downtime, in the car, on the train, in your lunch break, at the gym. You get the picture? www.quietonset.com.au click on the Bookstore Tab. ----------------------------------------
Ok, now I want all my QOS Talent Agency members to come a long and meet her. Also this event is a must must must for QOS members and I don't want anyone to miss out. So I am going to send the info to you guys first - 24 hours before I send the general info out as there are limited places only.
If you want this info first and to secure what is going to be a life changing opportunity, you had better joing up to QOS asap. www.quietonset.com.au and click on SUBSCRIBE
In other news.... the auditions are coming in thick and fast. Congratulations to: Damien, Cameron, Kira-Lee and Andrew who have all landed auditions this week. Some of the guys have had 2 auditions in 2 days.
ATTENTION ALL ACTORS! Folks I just can't tell you how crazy it is out there, the casting directors are after all looks, ages, sizes, nationalites etc. They are crying out to see new faces constantly.
Today they were after 20+ guys and 20+ gals in the 17-23yr age group. It was great pay for the day and they didn't need to have any acting experience. Originally they were going to get people off the s5reet! The casting directors want to see new faces, they want different looks so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN AGENT, PLEASE REGISTER YOUR INTEREST AT OUR TALENT HOME PAGE www.quietonsettlaent.com and then email me your headshot and cv.
If I have that info, I can submit you for roles tomorrow.
DON'T HAVE A HEADSHOT? No problem, i just need a clear picture of you up against a white wall. Natural light, no flashes, and no background like curtains or pictures, lines etc. Get a friend to take it and email me. That will do for the short term and then you can work on something more professional if you need.
Come on guys, if you don't have an agent, you cannot call yourself an actor - you will simply be missing the work.
Have a great week.

Excerpts from CRITIC REVIEWS:
8/10 By Nicholas Pickard, Sun Herald '..A refreshing and emotionally tense night at the theatre. '
James Waites (http://jameswaites.com/?p=4643#more-4643) .Actors Anonymous are working to high ideals. Their vision statements ask us to take them seriously. In Bondi Dreaming, there is a lot that is interesting and engaging in Sam Atwell's work as both the play's writer and director. There's also a fantastically evocative 'non-naturalistic' staging from Tom Bannerman; and the live score (percussion only) successfully intensifies one's experience of the unfolding story..
Sandra Bowden, OzBabyBoomers http://www.ozbabyboomers.com.au/theatre/2009/09_09/bondi_dreaming/bondi_dreaming.html) .... Do what you can to experience this. Bondi Dreaming is poignant, funny, brutal, devastating and unforgettable......
Brenton Amies, Australian Stage (http://australianstage.com.au/200909212859/reviews/sydney/bondi-dreaming-%7C-actors-anonymous.html) .....what makes this production unique is that it's beautifully stripped back to the bare bones of pure theatrical storytelling. The play quickly establishes itself as a production of conventions and not of linear three act realism.....
Gareth Beal ArtsHub | (http://www.artshub.com.au/au/news.asp?sc=&sId=179215) ....When I reviewed Bondi Dreaming back in October last year, I didn't particularly want to go. And then, of course, it turned out to be a revelation, the best play I'd seen in years. it's back, this time at the Seymour Centre, bigger and - surprisingly - even better.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AUDIENCE FEEDBACK:
It's such a deeply written and smartly presented play, most of all it's organic taste in making this play with natural instruments and background and light has given audiences new fresh feeling. With 3 actors' great performance, Bondi Dreaming is definately an unforgettable drama to watch and to enjoy!! Sandra Shin
This was by far and away the best theatre I have seen in a long time. Thank you all so much for such a fantastic experience. To all those who have not seen this - you MUST go...absolutely brilliant! Letitia Gore
If you haven't already seen this incredible piece of art that is Bondi Dreaming, written by Sam Atwell - do yourself a favour and get there. The most naturally raw, interesting, moving, sad AND hilarious well written, directed, performed and produced piece of theatre. Alex Greathead.
Next AA production - Bondi Dreaming The Seymour Centre, Chippendale, Sydney Wednesday 16th September to Saturday 10th October 2009
